4. Detroit Lions (LW: 4)
Detroit continued its impressive season with a late come-from-behind victory against the surging Dolphins. Unfortunately for the Lions, two of the three teams ahead of them in the rankings also won, so they won’t receive any further bump up the ladder, but they have moved into a category of ‘Elite NFC Contenders’ with only the Arizona Cardinals. With games against said Cardinals and the New England Patriots in the next two weeks, the Lions and their top-ranked defense will have every opportunity to move higher up the list.
