Each time it looks like it can’t get any worse in Carolina, it does. Losers of four straight games, the Panthers are spiraling out of control and seem to have nothing to stop the tailspin. The formerly stout defense has fallen apart, and Cam Newton, once on top of the world, has regressed across the board. If this continues, the future direction of the franchise and its quarterback may be in doubt.
