Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – April 4

Victor Martinez

Minnesota Twins (Pelfrey) at Cleveland Indians (Salazar)

This is a game to watch out for because they are expecting rain and thunder showers around game time. It’s a risk to go with these players considering lineups will lock about two hours before the game starts. Even if the game is a go, I would avoid batters facing Danny Salazar. The only play I can see coming from Minnesota is starter Mike Pelfrey, and that’s a longshot at best. I would rather just avoid the Twins in this one.

Danny Salazar is a good DFS option if they really let him pitch. Last year, the team held him to under 80 pitches in half of his starts. It could be a risk to start him in the first game of the season because we don’t know how they’ll handle him once the games actually start and if it’s anywhere near status quo, he’s as likely to go 4 innings as he is 6 innings. It’s a lot to pay over 20-percent of the available DFS salary for a pitcher where question marks still remain.

Michael Brantley (OF) – $6199

Carlos Santana (3B) – $6239
