Baltimore Orioles (Gonzalez) at Detroit Tigers (Sanchez)
The Orioles offense is a little slow out of the gate, racking just seven runs in the first three games of the season. Starter Miguel Gonzalez has faced the Tigers twice in his career and has been shelled in both games and that might actually be flattering considering his WHIP in the two starts he’s pitched against the Tigers is 1.71. Until the bats get going, or they aren’t facing a Cy Young contender from last year, I will probably avoid the Orioles bats, too.
This is another start where many of the hitters haven’t faced much of Anibal Sanchez, given that he was in the National League for most of his career. In fact, Sanchez hasn’t pitched against Baltimore since coming to the AL in 2012. I might avoid Sanchez because he’s a bit of an unknown today, but I will be taking some of their bats against Gonzalez.
Victor Martinez (DH) – $7123
