Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – April 4

Victor Martinez

Cincinnati Reds (Leake) at New York Mets (Mejia)

Someone on Twitter reminded me of this phenomenon last night: Road Mike Leake. For his career, Leake has an ERA over a full run lower on the road (3.45) than at home (4.49). DFSers looking for a cheap option could do much worse. The Reds are having trouble scoring runs so far this year (seven total, six in one game) so I will stay away from them at Citi Field.

Mike Leake (SP) – $12,926

One off-the-radar pitcher that can shut down any team at any time is Jenrry Mejia. At times, he’s shown high-strikeout potential and pitching at home is never a bad thing. I still worry about pitching against the Reds, but he’s not that much more expensive than Mike Leake and could provide a few more strikeouts. Either way, stay away from the bats in this game

Jenrry Mejia (SP) – $13,408
