Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – April 4

Victor Martinez

New York Yankees (Tanaka) at Toronto Blue Jays (McGowan)

The Major League debut for Masahiro tonight is at the Rogers Centre, so we’ll see how that goes. Until I see it from him in a game, I will take a “wait and see” approach, especially in a lineup as potent at the top as the Jays are. The team is a tough time getting the bats going to start the season – really, seven runs against the Astros? – so I’ll avoid most of them until I see the bats catch fire.

Brian Roberts (2B) – $6045

Dustin McGowan gets fifth start in the last five years (not a typo) and at this point, he’s not stretched out to go past 80 pitches. Even with his price tag of just under $12,000, I’m not starting him when he’s not fully stretched out at the Rogers Centre against the Yankees. That’s DFS suicide. One guy that has continued from his Spring Training success, though, is Melky Cabrera.

Melky Cabrera (OF) – $5362
