Los Angeles Angels (Wilson) at Detroit Tigers (Scherzer)
C.J. Wilson has had an up and down start to his season, which is pretty much how his starting pitcher career has been for the most part. He is striking out more batters than he ever has, though, and he’s limiting the free passes. Of course it’s still a small sample, but there is hope for those maybe wanting to look a little off the board for a GPP pitcher. I will avoid most of their hitters against Scherzer, though.
Chris Iannetta (C) – $4836
Scherzer did not face the Angels last year so there’s not much to go on for recent history. Scherzer has been as dominant this year as he was last year, though, so I can’t fault anyone for taking him, as I will be in most of my 50/50s. They do have a couple of hitters that have done exceedingly well against Wilson in the past, too.
Ian Kinsler (2B) – $8118
Torii Hunter (OF) – $6372
