MLB Trade Deadline has now passed and some big moves were made by contenders.  The day was slow and then the Yankees made a splash picking up Sonny Gray, and didn’t cost them that much.  This looked to be the biggest move of the day, but at the very end the Dodgers acquired Yu Darvish.

Deadline Day in the MLB which will make lineups interesting.  Make sure the player you take won’t be on the move today.  Sonny Gray is starting against the Giants, although a great play today it might not be the smartest as he could be on the move and scratched from the start.  It’s plays like

The Washington Nationals had a day yesterday.  They had 8 home runs before the 4th inning and at one point they hit 4 in a row, popped out then hit another making it 5 home runs in 6 batters.  Scherzer picked up his 12th win as he struck out 9 in 6 innings of work.

A beat down from Miami, a game where I loved Yu Darvish to actually play well, he decided to tank his trade value. Darvish went 3.2 innings allowing 9 hits and 10 earned.  Texas didn’t play badly as they scored 10 runs but it was nothing to match Miami’s 22 runs. Devers the 3rd baseman
