17. Carolina Panthers (Last week: 13)
With their top three running backs injured and a defense finally getting exploited, Carolina has dropped two in a row, with the road getting a bit murkier.
Cam Newton has played extremely average, and that likely is a product of not having a running game and suspect protection. They’re fortunate the rest of the NFC South is equally as unpredictable.
What to know: The Panthers have surrendered six passing touchdowns allowed outside the numbers so far in 2014, including three against the Ravens. They allowed four in all of 2013.
