3. Kevin White, WR
Perhaps the first wide receiver off the board in the draft, White is as intriguing an offensive player as there is in this year’s draft. But like so many speedy wide receivers coming out of college, there’s inevitably a boom or bust factor.
We expect the Raiders to snatch White with the No. 4 overall pick over Amari Cooper, who is being touted as the more polished NFL route-runner. White, though, turned heads at the Combine and looks to have the highest ceiling of any wide receiver in the draft.
Still, it feels like we’ve seen this story play out before and it doesn’t end well for Oakland. Maybe it’s because White could very likely fall to the Black Hole, but sometimes the flashy speedster just does not pan out in the professional ranks, especially one that has only one standout statistical year.
