Boston Red Sox (De La Rosa) at Detroit Tigers (Smyly)

I would try to avoid De La Rosa tonight unless like Stroman, it’s for a high variance option in a large GPP. The Red Sox do have a lot of players that have shredded left-handed pitching so far this year and for the most part, the prices are reasonable.

Xander Bogaerts (SS) – $6388

Jonny Gomes (OF) – $4777

Koji Uehara (P) – $3105

Smyly hasn’t pitched well lately and that makes him avoidable tonight. De La Rosa makes me nervous using Detroit hitters. He was always highly-touted and is a very nice arm. There is one particular cheap option I’ll be looking at tonight but might leave their lineup alone other than that.
