St. Louis Cardinals (Wacha) at New York Mets (Niese)
There’s a reason that Michael Wacha is the only $20K-plus pitcher on the board today. He’s been lights out (with excellent command) all season long and gets to go face the Mets at Citi field. That’s a dream match-up and I can’t fault anyone for going with the most expensive option on the board today. I would stay away from most Cards hitters today, in fact most hitters in the game today in general.
Michael Wacha (SP) – $20,139
Niese has a cheap price today so for those looking for a very good GPP option, he’s it. I would probably stay away from him in 50/50s today, though. I just have a mental block against starting pitchers facing St. Louis, I guess.
