Chicago White Sox (Rienzo) at Detroit Tigers (Smyly)

Andre Rienzo will be making his first start of the season (he made 10 last year) for the White Sox and he gets to do it in Detroit. Lucky him. I think it’s safe to say to stay away from him. I’m probably going to stay away from most Sox hitters today, too.

Jose Abreu (1B) – $7845

Drew Smyly is a pretty good pitcher but I think I’d rather avoid starting him until I see more than one start out of him. I wonder how the Detroit hitters will fare against a pitcher they faced last year but only tagged for a couple of runs. I’d rather avoid the unknown.
