Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – April 20

David Hale

Los Angeles Angels (Santiago) at Detroit Tigers (Porcello)

Hector Santiago had typically been a good depth start because of the upside he has with his strikeouts. So far this year, though, Santiago has just 13 strikeouts in 16.1 innings so that upside isn’t quite there yet. I would rather wait to start him when he’s playing not-Detroit.

Albert Pujols (1B) – $9240

Erick Aybar (SS) – $5247

Porcello has done a pretty good job this year of keeping runners off base (1.15 WHIP) but he’s not striking out many guys at all (5.54 K/9) so his upside right now is very limited. Considering he’s not even priced among the cheap pitchers is extra incentive to not use him today. I do like some of their hitters against Santiago a lot, though.

Rajai Davis (OF) – $7780

Nick Castellanos (3B) – $5337
