Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – April 1

Tyler Seguin

New York Rangers at Vancouver Canucks

The Rangers have won six of their last seven games and have allowed just 12 goals against along the way. There are a couple problems with this team right now though:

  1. The power play is just 7.1-percent over their last 10 games, converting just two power play opportunities.
  2. Martin St. Louis isn’t working out regardless of which line he’s on. That can drag down those he’s playing with i.e. Brad Richards.

Vancouver has lost their last two games but it hasn’t been all that bad: the team is 3-1-1 in their last five games and they have allowed just one power play goal against along the way. The power play has featured Zack Kassian of late and the young forward has managed a four-game point streak with two goals and five assists along the way. All that said, this still isn’t an ideal team to rely on in DFS in any fashion.

This is the return of Rangers coach Alain Vigneault to Vancouver so I expect a little extra jump out of New York in this one. I don’t know that I’d stack them outright, but I would be keen on some of their cheaper players in a cheap stack. Henrik Lunqvist might not be a bad option in net either.
