Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update – April 1

Adrian Beltre

Atlanta Braves at Milwaukee Brewers

The Braves only struck out seven times as a team yesterday, so I guess that’s an improvement? One interesting development was having B.J. Upton hitting second in the lineup. He went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts while Andrelton Simmons hit eighth and went 2-for-3. I would watch once lineups get announced, Simmons could be a good option if he hits higher in the lineup.

Andrelton Simmons (SS) – $5869

Freddie Freeman (1B) – $7422

Although he has a wealth of talent, I’ll typically shy away from Carlos Gomez unless it’s an ideal match-up (which it’s not). Aramis Ramirez did look like he’s healthy and he is one of the few options outside of the elite guys that I don’t mind using today. DFS players looking for a cheaper option as a starting pitcher could do worse with Kyle Lohse. Lohse has an ERA under 3.00 at Miller Park last year and if he’s ever going to strike out a bunch of hitters, it’ll be against Atlanta.

Kyle Lohse (SP) – $14,479

Aramis Ramirez (3B) – $7741
