Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftKings Value Plays and Lineups – November 29

Jabari Parker

Daily Fantasy Basketball is back, which means each day XN Sports will have a column detailing advised plays and lineups for the remainder of the NBA season. For those familiar with DraftKings, their daily fantasy basketball is formatted differently this season. There is no multi-position eligibility, which makes it a bit harder to set your lineup.

For those unfamiliar with DraftKings, you are given $50,000 in cap space to select a point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, center, a guard, a forward, and a utility player. There are no points deducted for missed shots, which changes the strategy from other sites. To read the full scoring, click here. Keep in mind that a double-double awards a bonus, which can be the difference between cashing in and winning nothing.

Generally, the goal for value is at five times a player’s salary. That brings a lineup to 250 fantasy points, which will cash on most days.

Without further ado, the value plays and lineups for November 29th:

Value Plays

Guard

Rodney Stuckey, Indiana Pacers $4,300

Stuckey has been the face of the Pacers’ offense for the last few games, scoring 24 points last night after dropping 22 in the previous game. At just $4,300, you won’t find another guard who is the focal point of an offense, and a safe bet to reach value of over 21.5 fantasy points. Stuckey is averaging well over that in the last week, so keep him rolling tonight. The Pacers will take on the Cavaliers, who rank 25th in the NBA in opponent field goal percentage and have allowed the 14th-most fantasy points to opposing shooting guards this season.

Other values at guard: Devin Harris, DAL $4,300

Forward

Jabari Parker, Milwaukee Bucks $3,800

Parker’s price is incredibly low for today’s slate, but can be considered a value despite the matchup with the Rockets. Houston ranks among the top 10 in nearly every defensive category, but with Parker’s price only requiring him to score 19 or more fantasy points to reach value, he is a top value at forward tonight. Parker has averaged more than 28 fantasy points per game in his last three contests, giving him over seven times his salary in value should he reach tonight. With Parker taking double-digit shots in five of his last six games, you will be hard-pressed to find a safer bet under $4,000 at forward this week.

Other values at forward: K.J. McDaniels, PHI $4,500 and Cody Zeller, CHA $4,500

Center

Lavoy Allen, Indiana Pacers $3,300

Allen was one of the top values on DraftKings last night, totaling 35.5 fantasy points at $3,600 against the cap. Since he plays in back to back games, his price was updated before the end of last night’s game. Thus, his price dropped $300, making him a value at center again tonight. The Pacers will face the Cleveland Cavaliers, who rank amongst the bottom half of the NBA in terms of defending opposing centers.

Other values at center: No other values for this slate.
