Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – March 11

Claude Giroux

Dallas Stars vs St. Louis Blues

Dallas is coming off that horrific game last night where forward Rich Peverley collapsed on the bench and was defibrillated down the team’s tunnel. By all accounts, Peverley is fine and doing well in hospital but the psyche of a team is a fragile thing.

From a daily fantasy perspective, this game is tough to project. Either the team could be deflated going into tonight or they could have a “get one for Peverley” mentality where the team comes together and plays one of their best games of the season. The team had been playing very well in their last few games so we’ll see if that continues tonight.

Since acquiring Ryan Miller, the St. Louis Blues have won five straight games, allowing just eight goals in those games, and have allowed no more than two in any contest. This team is a defensive buzzsaw right now (they’ve allowed an average of 21.3 shots on goal in their last six games) and they get a team that might not be 100-percent focused tonight.

At the risk of sounding callous, this game screams for a St. Louis stack. I will be taking Miller and the top line for the Blues in a lot of GPPs tonight.
