Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – May 31

Seth Smith

Cincinnati Reds (Cueto) at Arizona Diamondbacks (McCarthy)

Cueto may be coming down a bit from his blazing hot start and that concerns me a bit. His two shortest outings of the season have been his last two outings and for his price, more than six innings is needed. It’s a risk I might take today, though, if I can fit him on rosters. Brandon McCarthy has been very homer prone this year so it might not be a bad bet to squeeze Jay Bruce in to lineups.

Jay Bruce (OF) – $5267

McCarthy isn’t a bad target but at his price, I might rather have someone like deGrom from New York. McCarthy is far too homer-prone to really consider him worthwhile unless it’s to help fit Tanaka. I’m not chasing their hitters against Cueto, either.
