5. Tevin Coleman, Indiana
Consider Coleman the poor man’s version of Gurley, and perhaps more of a bargain since he’ll probably come off the board toward the end of the second round or even in the third.
Coleman boasts a violent running style that allows him to power over defenders and pick up extra yards after contact. He has excellent vision and the ability to elude defenders, making him a home-run threat anytime he sees an open space.
He’ll have to work on his patience in the NFL ranks, but that’s something that he’ll learn with experience. Coleman isn’t going to be a do-it-all type of back, but a true downhill runner to be utilized on first and second downs.
