Detroit 55, Chicago 20 (1997) – The Lions put on one of the greatest offensive shows in their history when they hosted the Bears in this Thanksgiving Day special. Barry Sanders was at his best, and the Lions knew they were going to have their way with a Bears defense that just did not have the speed or quickness to cope with Sanders. Detroit quarterback Scott Mitchell also had a strong day, as he threw for 282 yards and two touchdowns.
