Bortles also looks strong in his start
Like Bridgewater, No. 3 overall pick Blake Bortles got his first career start Sunday, completing 29-of-37 passes for 253 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions in Jacksonville’s loss against the Chargers.
Bortles flashed signs of that big play-making arm, but also struggled at times against San Diego’s stout front seven. Look, he’s already an upgrade over the very average Chad Henne, and it’s a promising sign of things to come for the Jaguars franchise going forward.
