7 Takeaways From Week 4 In The NFL

Week 4 saw two rookie quarterbacks make their first start, Steve Smith exacted his revenge, Tampa got in the win column, and the Cowboys upset the Saints.

Bortles also looks strong in his start

Like Bridgewater, No. 3 overall pick Blake Bortles got his first career start Sunday, completing 29-of-37 passes for 253 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions in Jacksonville’s loss against the Chargers.

Bortles flashed signs of that big play-making arm, but also struggled at times against San Diego’s stout front seven. Look, he’s already an upgrade over the very average Chad Henne, and it’s a promising sign of things to come for the Jaguars franchise going forward.
