Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – May 5

Chicago White Sox (Quintana) at Chicago Cubs (Samardzija)

Quintana has been roughed up in his last few starts, but to his credit they were starts in Texas and two against Detroit. Those looking for a pitcher outside the Top-12 that can produce Top-12 numbers today, Quintana is a good bet. I’m not keen on the Sox hitters against Samardzija, though.

Jose Quintana (SP) – $13,888

Samardzija has pitched exceedingly well this year and stands a good chance of keeping that going tonight. What worries me is that he’s due for a big ERA regression and he’s not striking out guys like he has the last couple of years. It may be irrational but I’ll just avoid the Cubs for the most part.
