Atlanta Braves (Hale) at Philadelphia Phillies (Lee)
The Braves were powered by the bats of Dan Uggla and Evan Gattis last night, which is something. But Andrelton Simmons has been tearing the cover off the ball of late. Let’s face it, though, the Braves going up against Cliff Lee could be a long night for this lineup: In 35.1 innings against the Braves last year, Lee had 43 strikeouts and two walks.
Chris Johnson (3B) – $3132
Lee is one of my favorite starts tonight and I’d probably rather go with him than a Stephen Strasburg who is about 15-percent more expensive. Hale has been decent this year for Atlanta, but he’s riding a bit of a streak that involves not giving up home runs. That could be in danger at GABP. The problem is the PHI salaries are a bit exorbitant right now.
Domonic Brown (OF) – $6974
Ryan Howard (1B) – $7438
Cliff Lee (SP) – $18,809
