Chicago Cubs (Hammel) at New York Yankees (Tanaka) (POSTPONED)
Hammel has been very good to start the year but maybe a little smoke and mirrors early on: all of his runners have been left on base and he sports a crisp .063 BABIP. Some might target him for an off-the-board play. I’d say he goes so far off the board he ends up in the right field bleachers at Yankee Stadium. I would also avoid the hitters vs Tanaka.
Tanaka is one of the most expensive pitchers today and with good reason; this could be a huge night for him against the 22nd ranked offense. What I like most about the Yanks today is that many of their hitters have a fairly cheap price despite a pretty good match-up against Hammel. I like Tanaka (I think everyone does) but I also like some of their hitters as well.
Kelly Johnson (OF) – $5845
Brian McCann (C) – $5572
Brett Gardner (OF) – $4779
