Daily Fantasy Hockey: Line Stacks For Oct. 27

daily fantasy hockey, David Krejci

Hi everyone, this is my first article so bear with me. I will be covering NHL line STACKS for your DFS viewing pleasure. I will be pointing out my top stacks of the night as well as contrarian STACKS and value STACKS. Let’s get to it!

Top Stack $26,600
(with D-man)

My top stack of the night is the combo of Tyler Seguin/Jamie Benn and Patrick Sharp. I also like the idea of pairing a D-man with a stack and that guy is John Klingberg tonight. All of these players should be on the first PP unit as well. This is a pretty expensive stack coming in at $26,600 on DK.

Seguin has 4 goals and 8 assists on the season while Benn has 8 goals and 4 assists. Patrick Sharp only has 3 assists and I’m not sure why considering he has a ton of talent and is on a line with arguably two of the top ten players in the league. He has shown he can produce 30 plus goal campaigns and I see him breaking out soon.

Anaheim is playing on the back-end of a b2b on the road and should be starting Anton Khubodin who has a 1-2 record with a 4.06 GAA and a .875 SV% (DISCLAIMER: Always make sure to check to the status of starting goalies). Dallas has great puck possession numbers and I expect this line to easily put up a multi point night vs. a tired Ducks team.

Other options: Pacioretty, Gallagher and Plekanec. I like Florida’s first or second line but Barkov is out with an injury so be sure to check their lines before setting a lineup if you decide to go that route.

Mid Stack- $18,000

My team is the Wild and I will try my best to not be biased towards them but Zach Parise is on fire and is always and I mean ALWAYS around the night just waiting to tickle the twine. It’s no secret that the Oilers are a young team and have a leaky defense. A Parise/Granlund/Pominville STACK should put up some points in this contest. Parise is averaging 5.3 fppg, Granlund 2.4 and Pomiville 2.8. The total sits at 5 as of now but I see that within reach for the Wild on their own in the friendly confines of the Excel Energy Center.

Other options; Lucic, Carter, Toffoli

Contrarian/Value Stack- $ 14,600

It’s hard to predict ownership percentages on any given night but I have not noticed many people on this stack so far this year which involves the trio of Krejci/Ericksson and the rookie Pastrnak. Krejci is on a tear with 5 goals and 7 assists in 7 GP and is averaging 19.4 TOI. Ericksson and Pastrnak have combined for 11 pts on the young season. If you want to pair a D-man you could go with Chara or Krug as both can get it done offensively.

They Also play an Arizona team that is on the road at the back end of a b2b. Mike Smith should be on the bench for the coyotes meaning Anders Lindback will be in net, he has only started in 1 game this year (came in late in a game vs my Wild and allowed 1 shot on 7 shots) and he allowed only 1 goal on 36 shots vs the Sens.

Hope I didn’t bore you guy’s too much, but those are my thoughts on tonight’s games. Hit me up on twitter @afish84 to mock me, tell me how bad I am at this or compliment me. All of those are welcome. I will be adding in some advanced stats into these articles in the very near future as I create more time to write. Thanks for reading!
