Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – December 28

Reilly Smith

Phoenix Coyotes at Anaheim Ducks

In their hopes to move on from Buttgate, the Coyotes are continuing their road-heavy December schedule tonight in Anaheim. Their recent East Coast swing saw the Coyotes go 1-1-2 against some lax Eastern competition, and they won’t be getting that tonight: Anaheim has not lost in regulation since November 26, and they haven’t lost in regulation at home since last season (13-0-2 this year).

The roll that Anaheim has been on has been incredibly impressive; since their last regulation loss, the Ducks have gone 10-0-2 and only two of those wins haven’t been in regulation. It hasn’t been a crazily difficult schedule, but there are wins against St. Louis, Chicago and Minnesota mixed in there. Everything from Hiller’s .932 save percentage in December, to Getzlaf’s 31 points in his last 22 games to Cam Fowler emerging as a top pairing defenseman.

I just can’t in good conscience bet against Anaheim, not until we see the slowdown coming. With Phoenix only scoring 10 goals in their last 5 games, and having played last night, this game should be all about Anaheim. I even like Hiller’s price point as well (though it is a shade high, he’s probably worth it).
