Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – March 22

Jamie Benn

Boston Bruins at Phoenix Coyotes

Boston has now won 11 games in a row with a 2-0 shutout win over Colorado last night in Colorado. The last time this team had to face the Coyotes was last week at home and it just so happened to be the second night of a back to back for the Bruins, much like tonight was. The result was a 2-1 Boston win in a game that featured just 42 total shots for both teams in the game. I would normally be afraid of teams on a back to back, but the Bruins are 5-0 on the second of back to backs since January 1st and with Chad Johnson playing last night and Tuesday night, Tuukka Rask should be plenty rested for the game tonight.

Phoenix has given themselves a little bit of a cushion for a playoff spot, but a regulation loss tonight in conjunction with a Dallas Stars win would put the Coyotes two points away from being out of the playoffs. The team has played very well this month, winning three games in a row and going 7-3 in 10 total games this month. They have also converted on the power play in three straight games and have seven goals in their 10 games.

For a number of reasons, this game is screaming “low-scoring.” I wouldn’t expect much out of this game DFS-wise, and would stay away from both goaltenders because this is a pretty even match-up. One player that might be worth some value is Bruins defenseman Dougie Hamilton.
