Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – December 29

Rick Nash

Anaheim Ducks at San Jose Sharks

The marquee game of the night is the last game of the night, as two of the top six teams in the NHL, and the two teams at the top of the uber-difficult Pacific Division.

This is the first game of a home-and-home between these two teams, and their only meeting so far this year was a 4-3 shootout win for the Sharks at the end of November.

Anaheim just keeps rolling, as they still haven’t lost in regulation yet this month (and only have one shootout loss). They are playing a lot of close games, though, as of their last seven wins, five of them have been by one goal. Sometimes, you are on the right side of those games (2012 Baltimore Orioles) and sometimes you’re not (2013 Baltimore Orioles).

San Jose, meanwhile, has gone to a shootout in three straight games, all against tough teams from their own conference (Colorado, Dallas, Phoenix). This is another one of those tough teams tonight, so I expect a game similar to their previous meeting. For that reason, I will avoid both goalies tonight, but will be placing a lot of players from both sides in my lineups.
