Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – April 4

Calgary Flames at Florida Panthers

Calgary went into Tampa Bay last night and skated away with a very impressive 4-1 win, albeit on just 25 shots and one power play goal. Their recent history for back to back games is fairly interesting: they haven’t played back to back on the road since mid-January, but they are 2-4-1 in such situations this year. The curious things is those two wins have come against Los Angeles and Columbus, two teams currently occupying playoff spots. Some might think it’s a good game to sneak some Panthers players in. I will go the other way.

Florida has lost four straight games with only six goals for and seventeen goals against. The wild card for them tonight will be Roberto Luongo, who is making his first start in a week after sitting some games with a neck injury. If he comes back in form, they have a chance. If he’s even a little rusty (or a little injured), this could be a bad night for him. I’d rather just avoid the team.

I don’t know if I’d outright stack the Flames but I do like them to win the game tonight. That would make call-up Joey MacDonald a good, cheap play for GPPs.
