Value Plays

Quarterback

Matt Ryan $6,300

  • Ryan is priced lower than Mike Glennon, Nick Foles, Kyle Orton, and Joe Flacco.
  • The Falcons face the Bucs, who have given up multiple passing touchdowns in all but two games this season.
  • In the first matchup, Ryan threw for 286 yards and three touchdowns on just 24 attempts.
  • Tampa Bay is allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks on DraftKings.
  • At $6,300, value can be attained with more than 18 fantasy points, and Ryan is averaging 19.4 and has an excellent matchup.

Running Back

LeSean McCoy $5,600

  • Evan Mathis returns this week, and he has been the best run-blocker in the NFL over the last few seasons, according to Pro Football Focus.
  • With Mathis and Kelce back, McCoy will have his offensive line intact (without Herremans) for the first time this season. Last year with Peters, Mathis, Kelce, and Johnson starting, McCoy led the NFL in rushing yards and yards from scrimmage.
  • At just $5,600, McCoy can reach value of over three times his salary a lot easier than other top backs, who are priced at over $4,000 more against the cap.
  • The Eagles face the Panthers, who have allowed the second-most fantasy points to opposing running backs on DraftKings this season, including four games of double-digit touchdowns. Carolina is the only team to allow more than 1000 yards to running backs this season.

Wide Receiver

Julio Jones $6,600

  • Faces Buccaneers defense, who has allowed the most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season.
  • Wide receivers have been targeted 163 times when facing the Bucs, and have caught 105 of them for a rate of 64.4 percent.
  • In Tampa’s last three games, opposing wide receivers have caught seven touchdown passes.
  • In each of the Buccaneers last five games, opposing receivers have caught exactly 13 passes.
  • With Julio catching just over 25 percent of Matt Ryan’s completions, he is set for a huge day.

Tight End

Heath Miller $4,500

  • Faces the New York Jets, who have given up 41 catches for 467 yards and 11 touchdowns to opposing tight ends this season.
  • In four of the last five games, the Jets have allowed two touchdowns in each to tight ends.
  • Since Week 2, opposing tight ends have 36 catches for 416 yards and 11 touchdowns, or an average of 5 catches for just under 60 yards and over a touchdown per game.
  • The Jets’ starting middle linebackers have allowed a combined 44 catches on 56 targets for 444 yards and four touchdowns, according to Pro Football Focus.
