Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update – April 3

Washington Nationals (Roark) at New York Mets (Wheeler)

It was announced that Tanner Roark will replace Jordan Zimmermann today on the mound. Roark had eight strikeouts in 9.1 innings against the Mets last year but also had four walks. Having him start on the mound is a definite boost for Nationals players. Also, until Bryce Harper (6th) and Ian Desmond (7th) start hitting higher in the order, I might avoid them (Harper is second today, Desmond sixth; we’ll split the difference). The price is high and opportunity for big production is low.

Denard Span (OF) – $5745

Bryce Harper (OF) – $7695

The Mets have certainly been Metsing so far this year, but one guy that isn’t Metsing around is Juan Lagares. So far this season, the second year outfielder has hit for the cycle (over two games) and already has four runs scored. His price is still in the basement so he can help make room for a couple of more expensive players, or help round out a nice stack in a 50/50.

Juan Lagares (OF) – $4097

Daniel Murphy (2B) – $6002
