Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update – April 2

Mark Trumbo

Toronto Blue Jays at Tampa Bay Rays

It’ll be Mark Buehrle on the mound for the Blue Jays but he’s a scary start today: There are seven Rays players with at least 12 career at-bats against Buehrle and all but one has hit at least .300 against Buehrle (the other is Jose Molina at .294). The lineup hasn’t looked phenomenal to start the season, but Melky Cabrera remains an interesting option as long as he hits first or second.

Melky Cabrera (OF) – $6493

Molina’s success against Jays starter Mark Buehrle leaves him as a good cheap option for catcher, but the middle infielders might be the best cheap options: Both Yunel Escobar and Ben Zobrist are 5-for-14 in their careers against Buehrle. Starter Matt Moore only had one home run against him in 16.1 innings against the Jays last year (and none in 19.1 innings the year before) so he probably has a high floor tonight.

Yunel Escobar (SS) – $5142

Ben Zobrist (2B) – $6735

Matt Moore (SP) – $15,954
