Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update – April 2

Mark Trumbo

St. Louis Cardinals at Cincinnati Reds

The battle of young bucks should be a good one, as Michael Wacha goes for St. Louis while Tony Cingrani is on the bump for Cincinnati. This is also the only game tonight where there is a threat of rain, FYI.

Neither pitcher has much of a history with either team but I will say that Wacha got absolutely lit up on the road last year (in a very small sample). Going to Cincinnati is never ideal and considering Wacha’s price point, I’d rather just not. Matt Carpenter is pretty cheap though so he could be a solid corner play.

Matt Carpenter (3B) – $5935

As long as Brandon Phillips bats second or fourth for the Reds, he’ll be driven in by or driving in Joey Votto. Whoever hits around him gets a definite boost. Ryan Ludwick continues to be an interesting option as long as he’s hitting fifth behind Jay Bruce.

Brandon Phillips (2B) – $6885

Ryan Ludwick (OF) – $5555
