Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update – April 2

Mark Trumbo

Boston Red Sox at Baltimore Orioles

John Lackey is pitching against Baltimore, and he had a decent campaign last year against the Orioles; Lackey had a WHIP of just over 1.00 against Baltimore in four starts last year (averaging over 7 IP per starts). He got into problems with the home run, as he gave up six longballs in those four starts. I might avoid Lackey for now, though.

Jonny Gomes (OF) – $5379

Prized free agent signing Ubaldo Jimenez will make his debut for the Orioles and he’s actually a pretty cheap option for today, relative to his skill set anyway. The problem is that a lot of Boston players have raked against him in the past (most in small samples, full disclosure) so I’ll probably avoid him. There aren’t many great options in this one, or easily foreseeable ones anyway.

Nick Markakis (OF) – $6494

Jonathan Schoop (2B) – $4332
