Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update – April 2

Mark Trumbo

Kansas City Royals at Detroit Tigers

With Max Scherzer pitching for Detroit, I would be in favor of avoiding most of the Kansas City hitters. Alex Gordon, on the other hand, is 6-for-15 over the last two years against Scherzer with four extra base hits to go with it. The problem then is who would he knock in or who would knock him in, but he might be able to provide decent value for a player who may not have a high ownership rate. It probably goes without saying to not play Jason Vargas in Detroit

Alex Gordon (OF) – $6274

The Royals have a pretty good hitting team so I understand the want to not take Max Scherzer today. I will say that I am a believer in him today, and he’s one of my favorite pitcher plays. There are a couple of guys that I would be tempted to take off the Tigers especially because of their price point today. Joe Nathan might not be a bad bet for a relief pitcher either.

Max Scherzer (SP) – $21,921

Torii Hunter (OF) – $5724

Nick Castellanos (3B) – $4858
