Baltimore Orioles (Tillman) at Detroit Tigers (Verlander)

Vegas has this game at 7.5 total runs and that line can be a bit confusing. Both teams have the ability to be a top-5 offensive team in the American League this year, but both pitchers have the ability to shut down either side. It makes me nervous

The Tigers nailed Tillman in his only start against them with seven hits and three walks for three earned runs last year. I would avoid starting him today. One curious batter vs pitcher today is JJ Hardy; the Orioles shortstop has eight hits (with three of those being home runs) in 31 career ABs against Verlander.

JJ Hardy (SS) – $4119

Detroit has lit up Baltimore to the tune of 17 runs so this weekend and that’s a positive sign for the team as they struggled a bit of the gate. Considering how well they’ve hit, their prices have risen a lot over the weekend.
