In this week’s episode of The Men Up North Podcast, Matt and Felipe talk about possible fantasy football options at the quarterback position with Cam Newton, Jameis Winston, Josh McCown, and Tyrod Taylor not being available this week for a variety of reasons.
Another week and another injury plagued fantasy football roster. The bye’s are almost over and the seasons are starting to wind down. QB’s have dropped like flies and we all need to find a reliable QB to lead us down the stretch.
A running theme in this episode was to encourage fantasy football owners to continue to “adapt and grind” as the NFL season draws closer to the end and cite examples from their Podcast League of owners who were at the bottom of the standings making a late push for the playoffs while the top-tier teams are beginning to dip.
The guys also had a discussion inspired by a recent meme that asked, “who would you rather have, Troy Aikman or Kurt Warner?” The quarterback debate would spark discussions about different eras of football and offensive styles being utilized despite the same offensive schemes being adopted by both the Dallas Cowboys and St Louis Rams.
