1. Drew Brees to the Jets
The fact that the Saints have made moves that gives the impression they are rebuilding makes this a not-so-insane concept. However, on the other end of the spectrum, Brees is the best and most beloved players New Orleans has ever had.
The team sent Jimmy Graham to Seattle and is stockpiling draft picks at the moment. Come April, the team has a chance to add a lot of young talent to fill a plethora of needs. They could replace their 36-year-old quarterback and get a first-round pick in return.
The Jets added a number of key veteran free agents so far this offseason, which makes them a valid contender in the AFC. The team’s most glaring need remains under center. The Jets are in position to draft Marcus Mariota sixth overall, but there’s no such thing as a sure thing when it comes to drafting a quarterback. Brees instantly makes Gang Green a legit contender, making those in New England awfully nervous.
