Dallas Cowboys
Jerry Jones has a major decision to make this offseason when both Dez Bryant and DeMarco Murray both become free agents. Bryant is one of the league’s most athletic, dynamic wide receivers, and he’ll command top money on the market, whether it’s from the Cowboys or not.
On the other hand, Murray is in the midst of a record-setting campaign, his first without any major injuries setting him back. It seems unlikely the organization can find a way to sign both to contracts, so if Peterson could be available, wouldn’t that make Jones’ decision that much easier?
Tony Romo could keep the best game-changing wide receiver he’s ever had to work with, and the team can continue its newly reinvigorated rushing game with one of the best to ever suit up and play. Peterson could have a field day behind Dallas’ stout offensive line, and the team would be able to avoid any messy contract negotiations this spring.
