Smith torches Carolina in “bloodfest”

Steve Smith promised blood when he squared off against his former team for the first time as a member of the Ravens. Thankfully there was no blood, but Smith did exact revenge, racking up 139 yards on seven catches and two touchdowns. Baltimore cruised past the Panthers, 38-10, giving the NFC South contender its second loss in as many games.

Smith is continuing to resurrect his career at 35 years of age with what appears to be a superior club. Remember, the Panthers paid almost all of Smith’s salary to release him and the other top wide receivers this offseason. He wanted to make this game count.
