The Browns’ newest corner struggled in his NFL debut, getting beaten by Steelers receiver Markus Wheaton for 97 yards, including two catches in the final minute which led to Pittsburgh’s game-winning field goal.

Most rookie corners struggle right off the bat, and as a result, the Browns’ coaching staff hinted that Gilbert may see less playing time. He received 59 snaps on Sunday, but Buster Skrine may have a bigger role opposite Joe Haden until Gilbert comes along.
