Mike Zimmer notched his first win as a head coach Sunday, and in a convincing fashion against the Rams. Let’s hold off before anointing the Vikings contenders, because after all, they are the Rams. But it left me impressed with the team’s ceiling.
What to know: Minnesota — which was winless on the road last year — bucked the trend in the 2014 season opener. According to Elias, they’re the sixth team in the past two decades to go winless on the road then win an away season opener.
