Algieri is 20-0 with 8 KOs, but he hardly is in Pacquiao’s class yet.
Algieri is coming off an upset split decision victory over Provodnikov, but it may be in his best interest to gain some more experience before stepping into the lion’s den.
Even Trainer Freddie Roach thinks that Ruslan Provodnikov deserves a rematch first before Algieri steps into the ring with Pacman. That could mean Algieri is bound to a rematch, effectively eliminating both himself and Ruslan from this list, but nothing is definite yet.
This certainly isn’t the sexiest option, but Top Rank put it out there as something that could occur.
