Kansas City Royals (Ventura) at Detroit Tigers (Scherzer)
In five of his last six starts, Yordano Ventura has struck out three or fewer batters. That’s not nearly enough upside to justify starting him against Detroit. I’m not going after many of their hitters against Scherzer tonight, either.
Alex Gordon (OF) – $5820
I don’t mind Scherzer as a starter tonight but Kansas City is a team that doesn’t strike out often. For his price, I’d rather look at other options tonight. I do like Davis tonight out of their lineup, though, provided he still hits at the top of the lineup.
