Detroit Tigers (Verlander) at Chicago White Sox (Quintana)
Justin Verlander has looked mostly like the old Justin Verlander, save for more walks and fewer strikeouts. He did very well against the White Sox a week ago but for his price, I’d rather pay a premium for a truly elite option today than Verlander. As always, Rajai Davis is a pretty good start against any lefty (and he took Quintana deep when he faced him last week).
Rajai Davis (OF) – $7711
Nick Castellanos (3B) – $5609
Quintana’s two worst outings of the year have been his last two outings so I’ll continue to avoid him for now. I will be avoiding most hitters against Verlander today as well.
Tyler Flowers (C) – $3492
