Washington Nationals (Gonzalez) at Houston Astros (Cosart)

Gio Gonzalez has essentially had one blow up this year but has been very good other than that. He’s the most expensive pitcher today (yes, even ahead of Jose Fernandez) so I will probably avoid him in lieu of other options. I would look at right-handed Nats hitters today against Jarred Cosart, though.

Danny Espinosa (2B) – $5055

Jayson Werth (OF) – $7125

Ian Desmond (SS) – $6233

As is the case with most days, the Houston Astros are a no-fly zone. The worst-hitting team in the American League going against Gio Gonzalez doesn’t really tickle my fancy.
