Chicago White Sox (Paulino) at Colorado Rockies (Lyles)
I’m really tempted to risk Paulino in this one, even in Colorado, but then I’m reminded that if he gets a couple of batters on in the fifth innings, he’s probably coming out and turning things over to the bullpen. If there’s one thing DFSers shouldn’t do it’s rely on the White Sox bullpen. Jordan Lyles is equally bad against lefties and righties but one thing he does much worse against lefties is give them free passes; Lyles’ career BB/9 against lefties is 3.92 but just 1.72 against righties.
Adam Dunn (1B) – $6463
Of course, I’m avoiding Lyles in this one tonight. Paulino is making just his second start since June of 2012 and I was surprised that they let him throw over 100 pitches in his first. I would think that the Rockies get into that bullpen of the White Sox and that spells trouble. I don’t mind the Rockies as a stack tonight even though they are a bit on the more expensive side of things.
Michael Cuddyer (OF) – $7140
Nolan Arenado (3B) – $5480
Wilin Rosario (C) – $4522
Good luck and here is today’s lineup!
