Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – April 7

Texas Rangers (Scheppers) at Boston Red Sox (Lackey)

Scheppers was absolutely rocked in his first start of the season and that was against the Phillies. I’m not sure it gets much better going on the road into Fenway Park. There are some Rangers players with a lot of at bats against John Lackey that haven’t done very well against him; Adrian Beltre (61), Alex Rios (25), and Elvis Andrus (28) combined for 114 at-bats against him and a batting average of .211 with an OPS under .600. On the other hand, lefties have done much better.

Shin-Soo Choo (OF) – $7461

Leonys Martin (OF) – $5775

Scheppers’ career HR/9 mark is nearly twice as high against lefties than it is against righties. There are some pretty high prices but they can be worked into a GPP or a 50/50 game alike. It should go without saying that I will probably avoid John Lackey. Maybe it’s a mental block, but I just don’t trust him (and playing Texas doesn’t help).
