Nashville Predators at Vancouver Canucks
Nashville has won three of their last four games (including Philadelphia and Dallas), scoring 15 goals in those games. The power play has been pretty good all year and that’s continued in their little run lately, going 5-for-15 in those four games. It’s been a different sight on the road, though, as they are 1-1-2 away from Nashville in January (though all were one-goal games and two were decided by a shootout). The big news for them of course is the acquisition of defenseman Michael Del Zotto in return for Kevin Klein. I’ll wait to see how that shakes out before I rely on him in DFS.
Vancouver has won back to back games for the first time in nearly a month but let’s not get excited, those two wins were against Edmonton and Calgary. In fact, of the four wins Vancouver has in their last 12 games, three of them are against the Alberta teams. In other words, this team has been pretty bad for a while. To make matters worse, they may again be without Henrik Sedin tonight.
I won’t spend much time analyzing this game because I don’t expect a lot of scoring. If you want another off-the-board GPP goalie, whoever is in net for Nashville is a decent bet. Other than that, I will be staying away from this game almost completely (and certainly no high-priced players).
